"Wildlife Biologist generally agree that this Whitetail deer tangled an antler in the narrow fork of a young maple tree. Struggling to free himself, he died of exhaustion or a broken neck. By counting the growth rings it has been determined that the tree was 12 years old at that time.


During the next 15 years the tree encased the antler as shown Here. When found in 1979 by John Aculair of Milwaukee, the tree, by it's annular rings, was 27 years old. This is an example of the tragedies that occur in nature."
